The Frenchman, who won the 250cc (now MX1) World Championship with Suzuki in 2001 and 2002, retired from grand prix competition in 2006 - but has decided to make a shock 'wild-card' return for the factory-supported Martin Honda team, whose riders Kevin Sꦗtrijbos and Marc de Reuver have both been sidelined 🅷by injury.
