Abarth Grande Punto driver🍨 Pieter Tsjoen has confirmed that he has decided to quit the sport following the Rally of Ypres, the third round of the 2007 Interconti🎃nental Rally Challenge.

Tsjoen's place in the Abarth Grande Punto will beꦬ taken by fellow countryman and former Mits🔯ubishi and Peugeot World Rally ace, Freddy Loix.

"It's something that has been on my mind for quite a while," explained Tsjoen, when asked about his decision. "I have many other commitments and I felt that it was not fair to my co-driver and my team if I did not have the same level of commitment as they all have. So for these reasons, I thoughtౠ it was best to stop now and Ypres was my last rally."

Despite the fact that he knew he was stopping, Tsjoen was in contention for a po🧸dium on his home e▨vent, before he lost time having gone off the road.

"That had nothing to do with my decision," added the former Belgian rally champion. "I had already made𓂃 up my mind some time ago that Ypres would be my last rally."
