Mitsubishi technical director, Mario Fornaris has revealed that the Lancer Evo WRC05 will be𝐆nefit from new dampers on the Rally Italia Sardinia this weekend, as the team look to continue to get on a level pegging with rivals - Peugeot, Citroen, Subaru and Ford.

"We have had a very intense test programme since New Zealand and have neꦆw dampers for Sardinia," confirmed Forn𝓰aris.

"The test was essentially for Italy and Cyprus🔥 and we have new settings for Sardinia. It's looking good at the moment, even though we are now heading toward🧜s the real hard gravel rallies. We have rectified the small problems we had in New Zealand and are feeling very confident about the tyres for Sardinia."

༺Team leader, Harri Rovanpera meanwhile added that they will have 'more updates' coming up over the summer.

"We've had a long test in Spain since New Zealand, which was okay, but we had heavy rain which loses you time, some 🎉ideas and how to compare things," he continued. "I couldn't believe it; of the three gravel tests I have done it has rained each time!

"But, we foun🍬d some ideas and solutions on the damper side and there is more coming up for the summer."
