CDR/Boost Mobile/Yamah🐈a riders Cameron Taylor and Troy Car🦩roll dominated the third round of the Championship in Brisbane earlier this month winning both the pro lites and pro open classes.
Cameron Taylor is currently leading the pro lites championship ♛by eight points while his team mate Troy Carroll is only five points behind pro open series leader Jay Marmont.
Melbou♚rne based Taylor said he hoped to pull out a substantial lead at his home town event this weekend.
"This is probably my favourite event," Taylor said. "I am from Me🧸lbourne and always get great support from the crowd at this event. I have 💞been training really hard and all of my attention is focused on winning this championship.
"I have an eight point lead in the ဣchampionship and will be looking to incre♊ase that to over ten points this weekend."
Troy Carroll has fought hard to return to form after a serious back injury sustained earlier in the yꩲear saw him sidelined for several weeks.
The 2003 pro lites multi cham📖pion has proven he is back to his best winning the pro open class in Brisbane to put him only five points behind his good friend and series le🉐ader Jay Marmont.
Carroll said a win this weekend could♍ see him take over the champiꦆonship lead.
"I will be focusing🔯 on taking the championship lead this weekend in Melbourne," said Carroll. "This is a home event for the CDR/Boost Mobile/Yamaha team it would be great to finish the event leading both championships.
"I really feel I am back on top and this is where I want 💦to stay. I have now won once so watch out I won't be happy unless I am on the number one podium position."
The CDR/Boost Mobile/Yamaha teaไm is also excited by the news the Melbourne round will mark the return of pro open rider Daniel McCoy. McCoy was forcedౠ to sit out the last two rounds after breaking his leg at state motocross event in August.
