Trelawny are presenting their proposals for a new speedway track at a site near St Dennis to local residents. Officials from the JAG Tigers attended a parish council meeting in Fraddon on Tuesday evening and will make a similar presentation to the parish council at St Dennis next Tuesday꧋ evening, December 2.
A spokesman for Trelawny said: "We are attending the meetings as a gesture to local constituents as we want to give them an opportunity to sort out theirಞ queries. We had a healthy debate at Fraddon where the main🌊 discussion points were the issue of noise and the situation regarding the local tenant farmer."
"We explained in detail the effects of noise in the area as collated by acoustic experts. As far as the farm tenant's livelihood is concerned, it was explained that the majority of land would rem🔴ain in grass and Trelawny are sure that compromise could be achieved."
No decisions were taken at th𝓰e meeting but the JAG Tigers officials believe that local residents now have a better knowledge of the speedway club's proposals. Trelawny are on course to hand the old site at the Clay Country Moto Parc back to landowne💟rs Imerys by the end of the month.
"The site will be clear by Sunday," sa𒈔ys the spokesman. "We would appreciate the help of any volunteers to assist i𒆙n the final tidying up this Friday and Saturday, November 28 and 29."
