Klingberg to go?

Swedish Grand Prix rider Niklas Klingberg may not be s💖een in King's L🍰ynn colours again according to promoter Nigel Wagstaff.

"Niklas was very keen to join us in 2001," he explained, "and afterཧ protracted negotiations we went through the sports' arbitration process which resulted in us purchasing his contract from Belle Vue for ?19,000."

"Having invested such a large sum of money, I was pretty upset when he finally opted not to return to race in this country this year but, given the investment the club had ♈made, went along with his decision."

"However I've subsequently discovered that, on two separate occasions, he has spoken to other British promoters since the start of 𒅌the season wꦅith a view to returning to the Sky Sports Elite League this year."

"And what is particularly ꦉgalling, not to say upsetting, is that I've found out this information second hand from the promoters concerned rather than from Niklas himself."

"Tha꧑t being so I feel that he needs to come clean and do the de꧃cent thing by submitting an official transfer request to this club."

"Providing he does we will not stand in his way in regard to him moving elsewhere on a full transfer for an appropriate fe✤🐎e."

"And when I say 'appropriate fee' I mean commensurate with the facts that Belle Vue originally asked a ?35,000 fee for him; that we paid ?19,000 following the arbitration process; that he increased his average over the course of the 2001 season by nearly one and a half points; and that he is now an established GP star havin🌌g finished in ܫthe world's top ten in 2001."
