Just days after being confirmed as a Lotus Renault driver for the 2012 F1 season, Kimi Raikkonen has avoided serious injury after crashing during a snowmobile 𒊎race in Austria.

Raikkonen was competing in the event when he fell from his machine and was ruled out of the remainder of the weekend ﷽after being treated by🥃 paramedics.

Luckily for both Raikkꦡonen and the team, the 20꧃08 title winner escaped serious injury.

"We just spoke to Kimi," a message on the Renault team's Twitter feed r𒁏ead. "There's nothing to worry about, he only has a sore wrist. He might have it checked again on Monday, but that's all."

Raikkonen secured ♔his return to F1 with the Enstone-based team after Robe🌺rt Kubica failed to recover from the injuries he sustained in a rallying accident prior to the start of the 2011 campaign.
