Marc Marquez wins the Aragon Grand Prix

It's victory for Marc Marqueꦆz in the Aragon MotoGP, perfectly managed race from the championship leader.

Alex Maꦉrquez holds onto second ahead of Bagnaia despite that late push, but it's a first podium since Spain for Bagnaia in third p🦄lace.

Acostafourth, and Morbidelli retains that fift🧸h spot over Aldeguer.

13:42

Combat recommenced between Aldeguer and Morbid🐼elli. A bit of contact out of turn 15, but Morbidelli holds on🍸 for now.

13:41
Lap 21/23

Bagnaia trying to get closer to Alex Mar💧quez, gap down to 0.8s over the line.

Another fastest lap of t﷽he race on that lap from Marc Marquez, 1:46.7.

13:39
Lap 20/23

3 to go now, and Marc Marqu꧟ez remains 2s clear of Alex Marquez, who still h🌄as a second back to Bagnaia.

Acosta no✱w cut w𓆏ell adrift in fourth, over three seconds behind the leading Ducatis now.

Maverick Vinales crashed out that lap at turn 12.

13:37

Bezzecchi just passed Di Giannantonio for ninth.

13:36
Lap 19/23

Alex Marquez extends his advantage to over a second now over ꩵBagnaia.

13:35
Morbidelli vs Aldeguer

Nice battle between Morbide♕lli and Aldeguer for fifth. Morbidelli hangs on for now but a few exchanges there at turn 12, 13, and 15. Closest battle on track at the moment between the two GP24s.

13:34
Lap 17/23

Bagnaia now 0.7s behind Marquez. He's still faster than Acosta, but a top-two finish is getting away from him slig💖htly now.

13:31
Lap 15/23

2s between 💦the Marquezes, Ba𓆉gnaia half-a-second further back from Alex Marquez. 1.5s back then to Acosta.

Further bac🌟k, it's Morbidelli in a distant fifth, ahead of Aldeguer.

Fabio Di Giannantonio's just been pa꧒ssed by Joan Mir, and is ab♎out to be passed by Maverick Vinales for eighth.

Marco Bezzecchi has only managed to get to 10th so far, still not bad from 20th on the grid but rather confirms the extent of his charge yesterday was amplified by his choice of the medium-compound ཧrear tyre.

13:29
Lap 14/23

Still nothing changing at the front.

Just thinking about it, apart from a few failed attempts from Acosta to pass Bagnaia earlier on, where he'd ou♑t-brake on the inside and run wide on the exit, there hasn't been a single pass in the top-five since Morbidelli made his mistake on lap three.

13:26
Lap 13/23

Still around two seconds between the Marquez brothersꦐ, a few tenths behind Alex to Bagnaia. Acosta just dropping off slightly at the moment but not too far yet.

13:25
Quartararo OUT

Fabio Quartararo has crashed at turn one.

13:23

💛Binder has crashed out at turn three. He's✅ up and okay.

13:23
Lap 11/23

Almos♚t two seconds now for Marc😼 Marquez, who sets another new fastest lap of the race - into the 1:46s.

13:21
Lap 10/23

Bagnaia still pressuring Marquez for second but he's not fast enough in the right areas to be close enough to make a pass - he loses a lot in corners like turn 10, and the final double left, where he doesn't seem ꦅto have the same turning capacity as Marquez.

13:19
Lap 9/23

1.5s forꦕ Marc Mar꧅quez now. Alex Marquez holding Bagnaia off for the moment.

Johann Zarco has crashed.

13:17
Lap 8/23

Over a second now for Marc Marquez and Bagnaia getting ever closer now to A💝lex Marꦫquez.

13:16
Lap 7/23

Over 💎0.750s for Marc Marquez at the front now, fastꦅest lap from him.

Alex Marquez sti🍨ll has Bagnaia and the KTMs for company.

This long running so close, you have t♌oᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ wonder about tyre temperatures for the likes of Bagnaia, Acosta, and Binder.

13:14
Lap 6/23

Fa🎃stest lap of the race from Bi꧋nder that time. Top five almost all together now, although the gap between Alex Marquez and Bagnaia increased a bit.

13:12
Lap 5/23

Acosta ran wide at turn one on that lap, and the space bꩲehind Bagnaia that created seems to have given him space to push back towards Alex Marquez - that gap down to half-a-second now.

13:10
Lap 4/23

No change in the first positions that time but Morbidelli has lost a lot of time to Binder after his mistake. Miller spoke yesterday of how running wide makes your tyres so dirty for a few corners after the in🐟itial mistake, so that could possibly be Morbidelli's issue t🥂here.

13:09

Binder's got back ahead of Morbidelli at tur🍎n five.
